A little music with your meal

There’s always music in the mountain air in Nevada City, Ca.

Nevada City, Ca. is quickly becoming the new frontier for Bay Area residents searching for an escape route from the masses. New eateries and shops are opening their doors and extending a warm welcome to those looking for a get-away weekend.

The Heartwood’s Minestrone Soup with a hint of Pesto makes the perfect chill-chaser for those cool mountain afternoons.

Heartwood, at 237 Commercial St. is one of the newest eateries in town. The Espresso Bar-Tea Lounge Cafe has an interesting menu of salads, grain bowls, soups and eggs – timed to your liking – on toast. Getting rave reviews since opening just a month ago, the space is open and inviting with large pine benches.= and abundant tables. The perfect place to enjoy a coffee, espresso, soup or slad and work the afternoon away as the space is perfect for spreading out.

Stonehouse, that beautiful stone building gracing Broad and Sacrmento St. is now officially open and serving brunch, lunch and dinner.

And while in Nevada City, don’t hesitate to meander through the music scene at night. Whether at Friar Tuck’s, The Golden Era Saloon, or just listening to the lady strumming on the corner, music is in the air in Nevada City along with the wafting aromas of a handful of new places to experience.
